Eligibility of JEE Main Counselling 2022:
JoSAA 2022 has no explicit eligibility requirements. To participate in JoSAA counselling 2022, candidates must pass JEE Main 2021 or JEE Advanced 2022. Additionally, the candidates must meet the criteria of the participating institutes.
The registration process for JoSAA’S counselling/JEE Main Counselling:
The CSAB regulates empty seat counselling. It is divided into many rounds. Registration, choice filling, seat allotment, seat acceptance, and reporting to the allocated college are all processes in the JEE Main Counselling process.

Fill out the registration & Confirm the Registration
To begin, enter your JEE Main 2022 roll number and password. Fill out the registration form completely. After you’ve completed all of the fields, click the “Confirm Registration” button.
Choice Filling & Locking:
Candidates must pay a charge to fill out and lock their choices. By the time they check-in, candidates must have filled out and locked their choices. Candidates must choose as many options as possible to be assigned a seat.
Provisional Seat Allotment:
Candidates will be assigned seats based on their selections. For seat acceptance, candidates must print the “Provisional Seat Allocation Letter” and the e-challan.
Candidates must select whether to freeze, slide, or float for the following rounds when accepting the seat.
Paying the seat acceptance fee
SBI Net Banking/ e-Challan may be used to pay the JEE Main Counselling Fees. For all candidates, the seat acceptance fee is INR 35,000.
Candidates from the SC/ST/PWD categories, on the other hand, would have to pay INR 15,000 as a seat acceptance fee.
Visit the allotted reporting center
After paying the seat acceptance fee, applicants must go to the assigned reporting center for verification. The needed documents must be brought to the center by the candidates.
After the reporting center verifies the paperwork, the seat will be confirmed. Candidates who fail to report to the designated center will have their offer revoked.
Report to their assigned college
Candidates must report to their assigned college or institution once their seat has been verified by the reporting center. The paperwork and entrance fees required by the assigned college must be brought by the students.

After JEE Main 2022 Seat Allotment, what choices would be available?
After seat allocation is completed, candidates will have three options:
- Freeze – The candidate is pleased with the seat he or she has been assigned and does not desire to go to the next phase of counselling.
- Float – A candidate who is happy with his or her seat but wants to be considered for other institutes in future rounds of seat distribution.
- Slide –The candidate has accepted the seat offered but is open to being admitted to a higher chosen program within the same institute.
Exams Acceptable for JEE Main counselling in 2022
The following exams will be acceptable for JEE Main counselling in 2022.
- They must have passed the 10+2 system’s final examination, which should be organised by a Central or State Board recognised by the Association of Indian Universities (AIU).
- Intermediate or 2 year Pre-University test administered by an Association of Indian Universities-recognized Board or University.
- The National Institute of Open Schooling conducts a Senior Secondary School Exam with a minimum of 5 topics.

- The National Defence Academy’s Joint Services Wing’s 2-year course concludes with a final test.
- Any public school, board, or university examination in India or abroad that has been recognized by the AIU as equal to the 10+2 system.
- A vocational examination administered by the H.S.C.
- A certificate of at least three years duration accredited by the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) or a State Board of Technical Education can be considered.
Admission Confirmation after Counselling
Students must eventually attend the designated institute for admission confirmation. The seat allotment letter will provide the deadline for reporting to the assigned institute.
Students must report to the designated institute within the prescribed timeframes, otherwise, their enrollment will be revoked.
